From humble beginnings on the river Trent in Stone, to the Olympic Games, Tokyo 2020. ‘Good person first, athlete second’ is Adam’s personal mantra which inspires his approach to training and life. His passion for canoe slalom relays an infectious energy to those who surround him. He is curious and loves learning. Adam believes his variety of interests helps to drive creativity. Drawing experience from one area of his life to another. He has a degree in Sports Science and Management from Nottingham Trent University and now focuses on his own personal development as an avid reader. Last year Adam gained professional qualifications in speciality coffee brewing and is currently diving deeper into his yoga practice which will soon see him qualify as a teacher. To Adam, this Olympic campaign is about more than just the GOLD medal he aims for. This is about sharing this unique experience as he invites supporters on this journey with him.
