‘Good person first, athlete second’ is Adam’s personal mantra which inspires his approach to training and life. His passion for canoe slalom relays an infectious energy to those who surround him. He is curious and loves learning. Adam believes his variety of interests helps to drive creativity. Drawing experience from one area of his life to another. He has a degree in Sports Science and Management from Nottingham Trent University and now focuses on his own personal development as an avid reader. Last year Adam gained professional qualifications in speciality coffee brewing and is currently diving deeper into his yoga practice which will see him qualify as a teacher just before the Olympic Games. To Adam, this Olympic campaign is about more than just the medal he aims for. He wants to share this unique experience, inviting supporters on this journey with him.
